The Fundraising Certification is a comprehensive course that covers the core elements of raising capital. It introduces the fundamentals on how to prepare your pitch materials, fundraising strategy, attract investors, and close the deal.

With this certification you will have the tools to reduce your learning curve, develop a solid fundraising strategy unique for your business, and discover tips to optimize your effectiveness with prospective investors.

After each session you will receive assignments and materials that will deepen your understanding of the fundraising game.


During the weekly coaching sessions you will have an opportunity to ask live questions specific to your business circumstances.

Coaching sessions

You will have access to three group coaching sessions with Alejandro Cremades. Each session will last one hour and a half.


Knowledge is power. Once you receive your certification you will be in a position to launch your fundraising efforts and increase your chances of success.



Schedule and Fees

New sessions begin the first Thursday of every month at 7pm EST. In the event you miss one of the three coaching sessions, you will receive the recording of that session so that you can watch at your own pace.

Coaching sessions are broken down into three key sections

1) Preparation

One of the key elements of raising a successful round of financing is careful preparation. You will learn about:

  • Fundraising overview
  • Terminology
  • Sources of capital
  • How Angels & VCs work

2) Pitch

To fundraise you need to have a clear strategy and the materials that you would like to share with investors. You will learn about:

  • Crafting your elevator pitch
  • Creating an executive summary
  • Creating your pitch deck
  • Prepare the 18 month plan

3) Closing


The total cost for this certification is only $297.

Closing the deal and receiving your investments is the last part of the process to closing a round of financing. You will learn about:

  • Terms and termsheets
  • Types of securities you can sell
  • Common mistakes
  • Setting up expectations


Alejandro Cremades is the author of the best-selling book The Art of Startup Fundraising. Alejandro currently leads the vision and execution for Onevest as its Co-Founder and Executive Chairman. The Onevest ecosystem supports founders and investors in building successful ventures from formation (via CoFoundersLab) to financing (via 1000 Angels). 

Over the course of the past years, Alejandro has helped as an 'angel' fund over 100 startups and has raised millions from angels and venture capital investors online and offline for its own ventures. In his current role he spends a lot of time teaching investors and entrepreneurs exactly what to look for in a 'fundable' startup, and how to structure investment opportunities to make them a win/win for everyone.

Alejandro guest lectures at NYU Stern School of Business and The Wharton Business School. Alejandro has been included in the Top 30 Under 30 lists of Vanity Fair, Entrepreneur Magazine, and GQ Magazine. Alejandro has also been involved with the JOBS Act since inception. He was invited to the White House and the US House of Representatives to provide his stands on the new regulatory changes.
